Double Page Spread House Styles

Look at 3 double page spreads from the same magazine (different issues) and explain how images and text (fonts and sizes) are used to create a house style.

The tile is in capitals and the bold font makes it stand out, but is the perspective effect that makes it really original and eye-catching.
Moreover, the title of the article itself, "Primary Colours" is very unique and relates to the magazine's colour scheme.

Moreover, the name of the title itself, "Primary Colors", is very unique and relates to the magazine's colour scheme.

The subheading gives to the audience a taste of what the article is about:
"The story behind Taylor Swift's blockbuster 'Red', and the palette of producers, songwriter, experiences and emotions she used to create it."

As we read it, we suddenly realize the real meaning of the tile of the article, as the words "Red", the name of the album, (and the colour smartly used in the tile) and the word "palette", used to quote the different components of this blockbuster, which clearly links us the different colours(components) on a palette, are used.
Besides, the language used is not very colloquial, which highlights the seriousness of this article and just goes to show how important the behind the scenes is to enable perfection of the actual music.

The capital "T" draws attention to the reader and gives them guidance and a starting point.
It also reflects the on the stardom Taylor Swift's initials, which article is about.
This is a very common convention in Double Page Spreads.

These three colours reflect on the title as red, blue and yellow are all primary colours, which, moreover, remind to the reader Billboard's colour scheme, as well as mentally familiarizing the audience with the magazine.
These colours are also used throughout the magazine highlighting their trust in themselves.

Having a page of the star herself gives the reader a chance to analyze the starlets personality through the imagery.
The fact that she's holding an acoustic guitar suggest that she is a down-to-heart musician.
Also, this image is also promoting the album, showing that it is all about the music through her sweet smile and appropriate dressing.

The plain white/grey background is the very key as the article should be the main focus, so having a background of this type prevent the reader to get confused.
It also reflects the artist's personality as she is a fresh, young musician who is all about the music, and the audience will immediately recognize it through the use of the background colour scheme.
Finally, the lack of bright colours used for the background highlights simplicity which intrigues the target audience as they are mostly likely fond to this.
